Content Guidelines
Version 2026.06.10 / Last updated June 10, 2026
Allowed Content
AudioVault, Bootlegged Records, Bootlegged Publishing, Road Dog Apparel, and related platform services are built for original music, creator catalogs, vocal stems, demos, releases, artwork, merchandise, marketplace listings, publishing information, educational materials, community posts, and other lawful creative work.
You may upload and share content that you own, created yourself, licensed properly, or have clear permission to use. This includes original recordings, beats, stems, mixes, masters, artwork, product designs, artist profiles, metadata, publishing details, live recordings, and AI-assisted content where you have the necessary rights to all inputs and outputs.
We welcome work that is honest about authorship, credits, collaborators, samples, AI assistance, rights ownership, pricing, licensing terms, and release status. If a feature asks for metadata, splits, contributor information, or source details, provide accurate information so the platform can protect creators and rights holders.
Prohibited Content
You may not upload, sell, distribute, publish, promote, or submit content that you do not own or have permission to use. This includes unauthorized copyrighted music, beats, samples, stems, vocals, artwork, logos, merchandise designs, photographs, names, likenesses, unreleased material, leaked files, or content taken from another creator without permission.
You may not submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, malicious, exploitative, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, or designed to impersonate another person, artist, label, publisher, company, fan account, rights holder, or official platform representative.
You may not upload malware, corrupted files, tracking files, phishing material, spam, fake listings, fake royalty records, fake ownership claims, manipulated payout records, fraudulent takedown claims, or content designed to interfere with platform security, marketplace trust, publishing records, payment systems, or creator safety.
AI-Generated Content Rules
AI-assisted content is allowed when you have the rights to use the source material, prompts, training inputs, voice models, samples, stems, references, and generated outputs. You are responsible for making sure AI tools are not used to copy, clone, imitate, or commercially exploit another person's voice, performance, likeness, style, catalog, or protected work without permission.
Do not use AI features to create deceptive artist impersonations, fake collaborations, misleading endorsements, fraudulent demos, false rights claims, or content that suggests another artist, label, publisher, brand, estate, or public figure approved something they did not approve.
If AI was materially used to create, repair, regenerate, master, or transform content, keep accurate records of the tools, models, source files, and permissions involved. We may require disclosure, proof of rights, or removal of AI-assisted material if a rights dispute, marketplace issue, publishing issue, or legal request arises.
Copyright Rules
Only upload content when you own or control the necessary rights, including master recording rights, composition rights, sample clearances, beat licenses, artwork rights, publicity rights, merchandise rights, and permissions from collaborators. If multiple people contributed, make sure splits, credits, and permissions are accurate before submission.
Using a short clip, sample, loop, beat, vocal, melody, artwork element, or reference from another work can still require permission. Public availability, online discovery, purchase of a download, or crediting the original creator does not automatically give you the right to upload, distribute, sell, train from, or monetize that work.
If we receive a credible copyright complaint, rights dispute, or platform report, we may remove or disable the content while the issue is reviewed. Repeated infringement, false claims, or rights abuse may result in account limits, removed listings, withheld payouts, cancelled releases, or termination.
Community Standards
Treat other creators, fans, customers, collaborators, staff, and platform users with respect. Disagreement, critique, and competitive energy are allowed; harassment, threats, stalking, doxxing, hate, intimidation, exploitation, and targeted abuse are not.
Do not use the platform to pressure collaborators, manipulate fans, mislead buyers, inflate rankings, fake engagement, hide disputes, misrepresent ownership, or damage another creator's reputation through false claims. Keep marketplace listings, public profiles, comments, messages, and promotional materials honest and professional.
Creators are responsible for the communities they build around their work. If you manage a profile, listing, release, product, fan group, or campaign, you may be expected to remove abusive content, correct misleading information, and cooperate with platform safety reviews.
Enforcement Actions
When content appears to violate these Guidelines, we may review it, limit its visibility, remove it, disable downloads, pause processing, block publication, hold marketplace activity, restrict payouts, request more information, or require corrections before restoring access.
For serious or repeated violations, we may suspend features, remove releases or listings, cancel orders, disable accounts, terminate access, preserve evidence, cooperate with payment providers, respond to legal requests, or report unlawful conduct where appropriate.
We may consider context, severity, user history, harm, intent, legal obligations, payment risk, rights-holder claims, and whether the issue can be corrected. These Guidelines are a working platform policy and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being treated as final legal advice.
