Terms of Service
Version 2026.06.10 / Last updated June 10, 2026
User Responsibilities
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of AudioVault, Bootlegged Records, Bootlegged Publishing, Road Dog Apparel, and related websites, tools, dashboards, marketplaces, checkout flows, creator services, and community features. By creating an account, making a purchase, uploading content, submitting publishing information, or using the platform, you agree to follow these Terms and all policies linked from the Legal section.
You are responsible for the information, files, music, artwork, metadata, comments, listings, products, and other materials you submit. You represent that you either own the rights to the content you upload or have permission from every person or rights holder needed to use, distribute, sell, license, train from, or display that content through the platform.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, reviewing your uploads before submission, confirming that credits and royalty splits are accurate, and making sure any business, tax, payout, PRO, publishing, or payment information you provide is current and truthful.
Account Requirements
You may browse public pages without an account, but creator tools, uploads, purchases, subscriptions, marketplace activity, publishing workflows, payouts, and dashboard features require an account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your account email, profile, payment, and payout details up to date.
If you use paid services, creator services, publishing administration, marketplace selling, Stripe Connect, or any feature involving contracts, payouts, licensing, tax forms, or business records, you must be at least 18 years old or have legal authority from a parent, guardian, company, band, label, publisher, estate, or other rights holder to act on their behalf.
We may require identity, payout, rights, or account verification before enabling uploads, releases, marketplace listings, publishing services, withdrawals, or other creator features. We may limit access if required information is missing, inaccurate, disputed, or cannot be verified.
Prohibited Actions
You may not upload, submit, sell, distribute, license, or promote content that you do not own or control; content that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, contract, or other rights; malware or harmful files; deceptive listings; fraudulent payment activity; hate, harassment, threats, exploitation, or unlawful content; or content that violates our Content Guidelines.
You may not scrape, reverse engineer, overload, interfere with, bypass security for, or misuse AudioVault systems. You may not attempt to access another user account, impersonate another person or business, manipulate plays, reviews, purchases, payouts, rankings, referrals, XP, SoundCoin, royalty records, or marketplace activity.
You may not use the platform to create false ownership claims, hide disputed rights, avoid payment obligations, misrepresent collaborators, submit fraudulent takedowns, or interfere with legitimate royalty, licensing, publishing, or enforcement workflows.
Payment Terms
Paid plans, subscriptions, purchases, licenses, marketplace orders, merchandise, services, and other checkout transactions are processed by Stripe or another listed payment provider. By submitting payment information, you authorize the applicable provider and platform entities to charge the selected payment method for the amount, billing interval, taxes, fees, and renewals shown at checkout.
Subscription plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. Plan features, prices, limits, and availability may change over time. If a price or plan materially changes, we will try to provide reasonable notice before the change applies to an existing paid subscription.
Creators receiving payouts may be required to complete Stripe Connect or other payout verification. Platform fees, payment processing fees, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, tax withholding, and marketplace rules may affect the final amount received. You are responsible for your own taxes, reporting, business records, and payment obligations.
Refund Policy
Unless a specific checkout page, written agreement, or required law says otherwise, digital subscriptions, marketplace licenses, publishing setup fees, creator services, downloads, training-data tools, and delivered digital products are generally non-refundable once access, processing, delivery, or use has begun.
If you believe you were charged in error, did not receive purchased access, were billed after cancellation, or experienced a technical issue that prevented use of a paid service, contact support with your account email, order date, plan or product name, and transaction details. We may approve refunds, credits, corrections, or account adjustments at our discretion.
Chargebacks, payment disputes, suspected fraud, or abuse of refunds may result in account limits, cancelled access, held payouts, removed listings, or termination. Refunds do not automatically cancel licenses, rights obligations, creator agreements, or publishing records unless expressly stated in writing.
Termination Rights
You may stop using the platform at any time and may cancel paid subscriptions through the available account, billing, or checkout controls. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically refund past charges or remove obligations connected to completed purchases, licenses, publishing records, rights splits, or delivered services.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to any account, upload, listing, release, product, publishing workflow, payout, or feature if we believe these Terms, our policies, payment rules, rights requirements, security standards, or applicable law have been violated.
After termination, we may retain records needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, royalty, licensing, dispute resolution, content moderation, or platform security. Creator content may be removed, disabled, archived, or preserved where needed to honor existing purchases, licenses, royalty records, takedown processes, or legal obligations.
Liability Limitations
The platform is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We work to keep services reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, guaranteed revenue, guaranteed discovery, guaranteed playlist placement, guaranteed sales, guaranteed publishing income, or guaranteed results from AI, marketplace, promotion, analytics, rights, or creator tools.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AudioVault, Bootlegged Records, Bootlegged Publishing, Road Dog Apparel, their owners, operators, affiliates, contractors, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the platform, payment issues, content disputes, rights claims, account actions, unavailable services, third-party providers, or user-submitted content.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. This page is a working platform terms draft and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being treated as final legal advice.
