Data Collected
We collect the information needed to operate AudioVault, Bootlegged Records, Bootlegged Publishing, Road Dog Apparel, and related creator tools. This may include your name, email address, account login details, profile information, business or creator identity information, support messages, preferences, and records of the pages, dashboards, products, or services you use.
When you use creator features, we may collect files and information you upload or submit, including audio stems, recordings, artwork, metadata, song titles, credits, splits, publishing information, release details, marketplace listings, product details, and related notes. We also collect technical information such as device type, browser, IP address, timestamps, error logs, security events, and usage activity.
When you make purchases, subscribe, sell through the marketplace, request payouts, or use paid services, payment and payout information may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. We do not intentionally store full credit card numbers on our own servers, but we may store transaction records, plan status, order history, invoices, payout status, tax-related records, and fraud-prevention information.
How Data Is Used
We use your information to create and secure accounts, process uploads, run creator tools, manage catalog records, provide AI-assisted repair or mastering workflows, process purchases and subscriptions, operate marketplace features, support publishing or rights workflows, provide customer support, and communicate important account or service updates.
We may use platform activity, technical logs, and file metadata to troubleshoot errors, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our policies, protect rights holders, improve performance, measure feature usage, develop new services, and keep the platform reliable. Uploaded audio and creator content are used only as needed to provide the tools, services, processing, delivery, storage, rights, marketplace, or support features you request, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
We may use contact information to send transactional messages, legal notices, security alerts, receipts, billing updates, product updates, and optional marketing communications. You can opt out of non-essential marketing messages, but you may still receive messages needed for account, billing, safety, legal, or service operation.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to run the platform, including hosting, database, storage, authentication, payment processing, checkout, email, analytics, security, customer support, AI processing, fulfillment, shipping, and similar infrastructure services. These providers may receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services for us.
Examples may include Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; Vercel or similar providers for hosting and deployment; Stripe for payment processing, subscriptions, checkout, fraud prevention, and payouts; and other service providers used for email delivery, analytics, file processing, AI model execution, product fulfillment, distribution, publishing administration, or customer support.
Third-party providers have their own privacy and security practices. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not authorize service providers to use your information for their own unrelated purposes. Some features, such as payment processing, merchandise fulfillment, publishing administration, distribution, or external AI processing, may require data to be shared with the provider that performs that feature.
User Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of certain information, a copy of your data, restriction or objection to certain processing, or withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
You may also request that we stop sending non-essential marketing messages. To protect your account and the rights of others, we may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request. Some requests may be limited where we must keep information for legal, tax, accounting, payment, fraud-prevention, safety, rights-management, royalty, licensing, dispute, or security reasons.
To make a privacy request, contact us through the support or contact method provided on the platform and include the email address connected to your account, the request you are making, and enough information for us to locate the relevant records.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the platform, maintain your account, process transactions, operate creator tools, preserve catalog and rights records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
Uploaded files and creator content may remain stored until you delete them, close the account, or request deletion, unless we need to retain them for completed purchases, licenses, publishing records, royalty records, disputes, takedown processes, legal compliance, backups, or security investigations.
Backup copies, logs, audit trails, and transaction records may remain for a limited period after deletion from active systems. Aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that no longer identifies you may be retained and used for analytics, reporting, reliability, and product improvement.
GDPR And CCPA Rights
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other regions with similar privacy laws, we rely on legal bases such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligations. These cover activities like account operation, file processing, checkout, platform security, customer support, rights administration, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
For California residents, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or share; request deletion or correction; receive a copy of certain information; opt out of certain sale or sharing activity; and exercise these rights without unlawful discrimination. We do not knowingly sell personal information for money.
Privacy laws vary by location and may change over time. This Privacy Policy is a working platform policy and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before being treated as final legal advice or relied on for jurisdiction-specific compliance.
